EVERETT — After a soggy week, a fresh batch of rainstorms are moving into Snohomish County.
The heaviest rain is forecast for Sunday and Monday, according to the National Weather Service. Local rivers were not expected to reach flood stage as of Saturday evening.
However, meteorologists said there is an increased risk of landslides.
The rain is expected to continue well into next week. This could bring heavy snow to the mountains.
Meteorologists suggested that travelers check driving conditions before leaving town and that skiers monitor forecasts from the Northwest Avalanche Center.
