Man fatally hit by car on U.S. identified

MONROE — A pedestrian killed after walking on U.S. 2 has been identified as a Monroe man.
Scott Barry Larsen was walking on the highway Tuesday night east of Fryelands Boulevard. He was in a lane of traffic when he was struck by an eastbound Audi Wagon around 7:45 p.m., according to Monroe police.
There are no crosswalks in the area. An ambulance took Larsen to a Monroe hospital, where he died. He was 48.
The driver of the car wasn’t injured.
