EVERETT — The National Weather Service issued a flood watch for Snohomish County on Sunday as rain storms began to roll in.

The watch was scheduled to go into effect Monday afternoon and should last through Tuesday, according to the Weather Service.

A warm front is expected to bring heavy rain to the northern Cascade Range. Meteorologists said the Stillaguamish River may experience minor flooding. They predict rivers levels will peak Monday night.

People living near the river are encouraged to monitor the forecast and prepare for possible flooding. The rain also could cause erosion along the banks, which may have contributed to a mobile home falling into the Stillaguamish River. No one was inside at the time. No other information was immediately available.
