Kayak overturned but kayaker OK

SNOHOMISH – Snohomish County Sheriff’s deputies responded late Saturday afternoon to a report of an overturned kayak floating down the Pilchuck River near OK Mill Road and South Machias Road.

When deputies arrived on the scene, they were able to locate the owner of the kayak, who said no one was on board. The kayak had been tied to a dock and came loose because of rising waters.
