Thinking about a rain garden?
The city of Everett offers a $2,500 rebate to city homeowners who install approved rain gardens. Attend a free hour-long workshop to learn about rain gardens and how to qualify for the rebate program. The workshop is 6:30 p.m. March 6 at the Everett Public Library, 2702 Hoyt Ave. No registration is required.

Quilter Freddy Moran visits Mukilteo
The Mukilteo Lighthouse Quilters host “An Evening with Freddy Moran,” 6:30 to 8:45 p.m. March 20 at Mukilteo Presbyterian Church, 4514 84th St. SW. The presentation is open to the public. Admission is $10 for those who are not members of the Lighthouse quilting guild.
Moran will present a trunk show of her bold and playful quilt and discuss her inspiration and passion.

Women’s summit comes to Bothell
Na Wahine o ka Mana: The Power of Women International Summit will be held March 10 and 11 in Haynes Hall at the McMenamins Anderson School, 18607 Bothell Way NE in Bothell, to celebrate International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month.
The summit is produced by women of color and aims to bring women of all backgrounds, experiences and identities together to speak on the theme, “Redefining our Future: Co-Creating Cohesive Relationships.” It costs $200 to attend the summit.

Fabric needed for CTA sale
The Clothing and Textile Advisors of Snohomish County are seeking donations of fabric, notions, trims, patterns, yarn, needlework items and related books for its annual Fabric Sale, set for June 19. Proceeds from the sale support a scholarship, Camp Stitch-a-Lot and other community sewing programs.

YMCA “mini” passes in Monroe
The city of Monroe and the Monroe/Sky Valley Family YMCA have partnered to provide “mini” passes to people who live in Monroe. The passes grant access to the pool for seven hours each week: Wednesdays from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., Fridays from 9 to 10 a.m. and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m. They also allow for special pricing on such YMCA programs as swim lessons and youth sports.
Passes are given out on a first-come, first-served basis and last for six months. People must bring a photo ID and a utility bill showing their home address within Monroe city limits to the Monroe/Sky Valley Family YMCA at 14033 Fryelands Blvd.
