Enjoy a musical jam
Enjoy an evening of old-time music with fiddle, guitar, banjo and more on Friday, and every second and fourth Friday, at the Sisco Heights Community Club, 13527 99th Ave. NE, Arlington. There’s a Celtic jam at 5 p.m., workshop at 6 p.m., and circle jam at 7 p.m. Musicians are welcome, or just come and enjoy the music.

Group bike ride
A bike riding event around Everett, called the “Tour de E.F.D.” is planned for April 21. About 65 people attended last year. The route is 22 miles long, but riders can do portions, and the pace is friendly to beginners. Stops are planned at each station for the Everett Fire Department.
The free event runs throughout the day. It is organized by the Rourke family.

OPPORTUNITY
Help launch new Y
The Everett Family YMCA is seeking volunteers to assist with plans for a ground-breaking celebration in June. The Y is moving from downtown to 4730 Colby Ave. Volunteers do not have to be members. They are asked to sign up by March 15.

Ostomy Support Group
The United Ostomy Associations of America, Snohomish County Chapter, meets 1-3 p.m. second Mondays (except July and an annual picnic in August) at the Buzz Inn restaurant, 3121 Broadway, Everett. The group’s purpose is to help in the rehabilitation of people with ostomies.

Parkinson’s disease help
Northwest Parkinson’s Foundation support groups, for those with Parkinson’s or other forms of dementia and their caregivers, meet in several Snohomish County communities, including Bothell, Everett, Lynnwood, Mill Creek, Mountlake Terrace and Stanwood.
There are general support groups, groups for caregivers, and a discussion group that follows a pedaling class at a local Y.

Head injury support
A support group for those who have suffered head injuries meets 6:30-8:30 p.m. first Tuesdays on the second floor of Swedish Edmonds Medical Center, 21601 76th Ave. W., Edmonds. The group supports brain-incident survivors as well as their caregivers.

Nuisance property hearing
The Snohomish County Council has rescheduled a hearing about providing new tools for law enforcement to crack down on nuisance properties with criminal activity.
The hearing has been set for 10:30 a.m. March 28, a week later than originally planned.
