Beavers at Stream Center
Watch the IMAX movie “Beavers” and learn more about the animal’s habits, habitat requirements and see a dam on North Creek, 7 p.m. Friday at the Northwest Stream Center in McCollum Park, 600 128th St. SE, Everett. Coffee with the mayor
Marysville residents and businesses are invited to have coffee with the mayor at 10 a.m. March 19 at The Living Room Coffee House, 1636 Fourth St. RSVP is requested by Friday. Hear about city programs and services and bring questions. Light refreshments will be provided.

Paw de Deux for pets
Charity Dance Project in association with Marysville Performing Arts Centre plans its annual charity show, “Paw de Deux,” 3 p.m. March 25 at the Everett PUD Auditorium, 2320 California St. All proceeds benefit Anacortes-based Summit Assistance Dogs. Admission is $10 at the door.

Ghana culture on display
The student-led nonprofit Hugs for Ghana holds its annual Culture Night, 7 to 9 p.m. March 30 at Rosehill Community Center, 304 Lincoln Ave., Mukilteo. Drummers, dancers, a buffet and more to benefit future projects. Tickets are $20, available in advance or at the door.

Scholarship available
The Alpha Alpha chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa is made up of women educators in the Lake Stevens and Snohomish school districts. The group offers a $1,000 scholarship to a student with either college junior or senior status in the fall of 2018 who is pursuing at teaching career. Applicants also must be a graduate of Lake Stevens, Snohomish or Glacier Peak high schools.

Tree board opening
The Edmonds Citizens’ Tree Board has an opening for a student representative. Students must live in the city and attend high school or college, and preferably have an interest in urban forestry, horticulture or related fields.
