Here are Friday’s prep stars of the night:
Bailey Greenlee, P, Snohomish
Greenlee, a Missouri State-bound senior, threw her second perfect game of the season, retiring all 21 Everett batters she faced as the Panthers beat the Seagulls 5-0 in a battle of the top two teams in Wesco 3A North.
Ian Fitzgerald, CF, Mount Vernon
Fitzgerald, a senior, hit a walk-off RBI single to score Skyler Jensen and give the Bulldogs a 2-1 Wesco 4A victory over Cascade. It was Fitzgerald’s only hit of the game.
Hannah Swartz, 2B, Lynnwood
Swartz, a junior, went 4-for-5 with one of the Royals’ three home runs in a six-inning 14-3 victory over Shorewood in a Wesco 3A South matchup. Swartz’s homer pushed Lynnwood past the 10-run margin to end the game.
Kaitlyn Rust, IF, Edmonds-Woodway
Rust, a junior, went 3-for-4 with a double, a triple, two runs scored and three RBI as the Warriors held off Mountlake Terrace for a 6-5 Wesco 3A South victory.
Iyanla Pennington, P, Jackson
Pennington, a junior Coastal Carolina commit, struck out nine Monroe batters over seven innings of five-hit ball and went 2-for-2 at the plate as the T-wolves defeated Monroe 5-3 in a matchup of Wesco 4A powers.
