Edmonds-Woodway Jazz Ensemble: Edmonds-Woodway High School’s jazz ensemble is playing at 7:30 p.m. May 30 at Dimitriou’s Jazz Alley, 2033 Sixth Ave., Seattle. Peter Rivera: The former lead singer of Rare Earth is performing with The Davanos at 7 p.m. June 2 at the Historic Everett Theatre, 2911 Colby Ave., Everett. Peter Rivera sang and played drums for Rare Earth, which recorded gold and platinum albums with hits like “Get Ready,” “Born To Wander” and “Hey Big Brother.” Tickets from $28. Pacific Chamber Orchestra: The orchestra’s summer concert is 3 p.m. June 3 at First Presbyterian Church, 2936 Rockefeller Ave., Everett. The program includes Sergei Prokofiev’s “Visions Fugitives” Henry Cowell’s “Suite for Wind Quintet,” Didier Favre’s “Vent de Folie” and Andrzej Panufnik’s “Concerto for Timpani, Percussion and Strings.” Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for students and seniors. Common Ground: The male vocal quintet is performing “From Stage, Screen, Television” at 3 p.m. June 3 at Snohomish United Methodist Church, 6202 99th Ave. SE, Snohomish. The concert will feature music from movies, musical theater, opera, stage works and television. It is a benefit for the Patrick Castro Excellence in Vocal Music Scholarship. Admission is free, although a free-will donation will be taken.
Steel Magic Northwest: Steel Magic Northwest is presenting its spring concert “Here Comes the Sun” at 7:30 p.m. June 6 at Edmonds United Methodist Church, 828 Caspers St., Edmonds. The concert features classical, popular and Caribbean music performed with steelpans, drums originating from Trinidad and Tobago. Sno-King Community Chorale: The chorale is performing a concert version of the Broadway musical “Bye Bye Birdie” at 3 p.m. June 9 at the Edmonds Center for the Arts, 410 Fourth Ave N., Edmonds. Everett Chorale: The chorale’s final concert of the season, “What a Wonderful World,” is at 3 p.m. June 10 at the Everett Performing Arts Center, 2710 Wetmore Ave., Everett. It also will be the last for Lee Mathews, the retiring artistic director and conductor. The featured ensemble is Brass Reflections. Peter and Brendan Mayer: The father-and-son duo are performing a benefit concert for disaster recovery efforts at 7 p.m. June 19 at the Everett Performing Arts Center, 2710 Wetmore Ave., Everett. Peter is the lead guitarist, and Brendan is a guitarist and vocalist for Jimmy Buffett’s Coral Reefer Band. Proceeds will aid in earthquake, hurricane and flood response efforts. Tickets are $30.
