Sorticulture: Everett’s Garden Arts Festival is 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. June 8, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. June 9 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 10 at Legion Memorial Park, 145 Alverson Blvd., Everett. The festival includes garden art, specialty nurseries, presentations by gardening experts, display gardens, music, playhouses and children’s activities. Admission is free. Rose trip: Members of the Monroe Garden Club plan a field trip at noon June 11 to Donna Wylies’s Rose Garden, 22302 Highbridge Road, Monroe. Wylies’ is a private garden with a Highbridge Road address but the driveway is on Stackpole Road. From Highbridge Road, take a left onto Stackpole Road. Hers is the first driveway on the left. Habitat tour: Visit wildlife gardens around Camano Island at the 11th annual Camano Island Backyard Wildlife Habitat Garden Tour from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 23. Pick up maps at the Island County Multipurpose Center (also known as the Blue Building), 141 N. East Camano Drive the day of. The tour demonstrates how people can live in harmony with nature, how any property can be a backyard wildlife habitat and how to provide food, water, shelter and places to raise young. Mill Creek Garden Tour: This year’s Mill Creek Garden Tour and Artisan Market features the great outdoors, gorgeous gardens, gifted artisans, gardening ideas galore. Wander, sightsee and shop in six showcased Mill Creek gardens 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 23. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 on tour day. Proceeds from the garden support community gardening projects. SCHOLARSHIPS

Mukilteo Way Garden Club: The club is offering a $1,000 scholarship to go toward classes in the 2018-19 school year at a Washington college or trade school. Applicants must be working in or interested in working in the horticulture, landscape or landscape design fields. Graduating high school seniors are welcome to apply. Deadline is May 31. Arlington Garden Club: A $2,000 scholarship is being offered to a high school senior who is pursuing a career in some aspect of horticulture or environmental studies at an accredited college. Deadline for application is June 1. More at arlingtongardenclub.org.

Meerkerk Gardens: Purple Passion Sale, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 2 and 3 at Meerkerk Gardens, 3531 Meerkerk Lane, Greenbank. Lots of varieties of rhododendrons, azaleas, companion and native plants to choose from. Entrance to the garden is free on sale days. Wear purple and receive a free purple plant.
