Fireworks rekindle lasting trauma

Teens experiencing violence will not forget their pledges to lessen gun violence.

These traumatic memories last a lifetime. The Fourth of July fireworks will sound like gunshot.

They have lost that protective veneer that allowed them to assume gunshots were fireworks.

Let’s support and encourage them in their advocacy for safe schools and streets.
