Everett’s 125th celebration

The kick-off event to celebrate Everett’s 125th anniversary, “Everett: A Story Worth Telling,” is set for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Everett Station, 3201 Smith Ave. The free, family-friendly event includes kids activities, live entertainment, an obstacle course, scavenger hunts, historical bus tours, touch-a-truck with antique fire trucks and more.

Japanese flower arranging

The 20th annual Ikebana Exhibition by the Ikenobo School in Mill Creek is set for 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday at Mill Creek City Hall, 15720 Main St. A demonstration of the art of Japanese floral arranging by Yoshi Erickson is scheduled for 2 p.m. The event is free.

Everything’s free at Everybody’s Closet

Everybody’s Closet opens again 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Carl Gipson Senior Center of Everett, 3025 Lombard Ave. The event offers free clothing in a party-like setting. Coffee and cookies, too.

Art bargains downtown Everett

The Schack Art Center’s Artists’ Garage Sale is 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, rain or shine, in the 2900 block of Hoyt Avenue in downtown Everett. Limited street parking is available nearby, or park free in the Everpark Garage one block north.

‘Promised Land’ showing

The fight for federal recognition of Native American tribes is the subject of a free showing of the documentary “Promised Land” at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Everett Public Library, 2702 Hoyt Ave. The filmmakers will be on hand to discuss the film. Affected tribal members may also speak.

Join a knit-in

Everett Public Library prepares for Knit in Public Day with a pre-party knit-in, 1 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the Evergreen Branch Library, 9512 Evergreen Way. Drop in for snacks, games and prizes. Crocheters and other crafters welcome, too. Bring your own supplies. World Wide Knit in Public Day is June 9.

Dash to participate in Camano events

Registration is coming up for a few Camano Center events:

Crab Dash: The annual 5k and 10k fun run and walk is set for June 23. Registration is $20 through 4 p.m. June 22, $25 on race day, $50 for families. New this year is professional timing.

Trunk Sale: The Camano Community Trunk Sale is July 14. Vendor registration begins June 1. Spaces are $20 for members, $25 for non-members.

Car Show: The annual Collectors Car Show and Outdoor Market is set for Aug. 11. Registration begins June 1. Car show registration is $15 per car. Outdoor market vendor registration is $35 or $45 with a table.

The Camano Center is at 606 Arrowhead Road, Camano Island.
