Strawberry Festival parade

The Marysville Strawberry Festival wraps up this weekend with a major day of fun. Saturday’s events include a car show, strawberry shortcake eating contest, vendors, carnival and parades. The Twilight Grand Parade starts at 7:45 p.m. along State Avenue downtown. The festival wraps up Sunday.

Wildlife and weeds

The Camano Wildlife Program presents “Weeds of Camano: Exploring noxious-weed control and improving your backyard habitat,” 7 p.m. June 20 at the Island County Multipurpose Center, 141 N East Camano Drive, Camano Island. Trying to identify a plant? Bring a photo or bagged sample.

Bothell city staff hold an open house, 5:30 to 7 p.m. June 20 in Rooms 107 and 108 at City Hall, 18415 101st Ave. NE. Learn about city services, job openings and more. See plans for capital projects, too.

Class for new moms

Kindering Center offers a free class, “Nourishing Emotional Well-Being: NEW for New Moms,” from 6 to 8:30 p.m. July 9 at Verdant Health Commission, 4710 196th St. SW, Lynnwood. The class focuses on the mental and emotional health of moms, particularly moms of kids younger than 3. No child care is available, but “young babes in arms” are welcome.

The class is free, but registration is required.

Terrace pool to close

The Mountlake Terrace Recreation Pavilion pool, pool deck, spa, sauna, locker rooms and racquetball courts will be closed Monday to June 22 for maintenance. The entire pavilion will be closed June 22 for staff training.

Learn about county trails projects

Snohomish County parks officials are hosting a meeting on Thursday evening to provide updates on several trail projects and to hear what people think about them.

The meeting is planned from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the offices at Willis Tucker Community Park, 6705 Puget Park Drive, Snohomish.
