MONROE — A Monroe man died Sunday after a motorcycle and vehicle collided on U.S. 2.
The crash happened a mile west of Fryelands Boulevard before noon. The 62-year-old man was westbound on the highway when he crossed the center line and hit an eastbound Kia Soul head-on, the Washington State Patrol said. The Kia’s driver and passenger were taken to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.
Both directions of the highway were closed for hours, with traffic diverted to Fryelands Boulevard and Roosevelt Road. Around 4 p.m., all lanes were open.
