MONROE — A truck carrying septic vaults fell into Woods Creek after the bridge it was crossing collapsed Monday afternoon, according to Heather Chadwick, a spokesperson for Snohomish County Fire District 7.

The wooden bridge is off Old Owen Road just outside Monroe, on private property.

The driver was not injured when the truck fell about 10 feet into the creek, Chadwick said.

An absorbent line was set up across Woods Creek to catch any leaking oil.

Monday afternoon, crews were trying to figure out how to move the truck, which was on its side.

“It’s not going to be an easy fix,” Chadwick said.
