Stan Jones: Mourning a death, celebrating a life

Hundreds of people filled the Orca Ballroom at Tulalip Resort Casino on Nov. 12 to pay respects to Stan Jones, who died Nov. 5 at age 93.

The funeral, which began the day before, had many elements of the Coast Salish tradition. In the afternoon, the longtime Tulalip Tribes leader was buried at Mission Beach Cemetery with military and tribal honors.
