LAKE STEVENS — No one was injured but a home was destroyed by fire early Sunday morning.

A resident of a a house in the 11700 block of 44th Street Northeast woke to the home on fire and got out safely, according to a news release from Snohomish County Fire District 7. Firefighters were called at 4:02 a.m. and found the home engulfed when they arrived.

Crews from Fire District 7, Getchell and Marysville fire districts doused the fire to keep it from spreading, but the home is a total loss.

The Snohomish County Fire Marshal is investigating what caused the fire, the third Fire District 7 responded to in the past three days.

A home in the 25200 block of Cromwell Road near Monroe had extensive damage after a fire Saturday night. There were no injuries there either, and the fire’s cause is under investigation.
