Frogs’ offense bounces back in big way in win over Hops

EVERETT — After two sub-par games in a row, the Everett AquaSox’s offense bounced back in a big way in a 13-2 win over the Hillsboro Hops on Friday night at Funko Field.

Kaden Polcovich homered twice, Austin Shenton added a solo shot and the Everett offense pounded out 17 hits in the win.

Patrick Frick went 4-for-5, Polcovich had three hits and three RBI, and Zach DeLoach, Carter Bins and Davis Sheaffer each had two hits for the AquaSox.

Seattle Mariners 2019 first-round pick George Kirby started the game for Everett (17-11) and allowed no hits in 2.1 innings pitched. Kirby walked two and struck out four.

Isaiah Campbell allowed one run on four hits and struck out four in three quality innings of relief for the AquaSox.

Eduardo Diaz went 1-for-4 with a solo home run for Hillsboro (12-16).
