Teen’s tech help appreciated by many

How refreshing to see some good news about something, especially when it involves others (“Need to Ring or Zoom? Edmonds teen comes to the rescue,” The Herald, Jan. 11)!

The article about Jack Rice was so awesome! Kudos to you, Jack! I’m sure you are a blessing to many elderly. How great it is to read about a teen who is contributing to society like you are.

I am a senior myself, but I have daughters and sons-in-law who help me. There are hundreds who aren’t so fortunate. I don’t own a smartphone, but I have had a tablet for over four years and use it almost daily. I don’t do much on it but watch YouTube, take and receive family photos and videos, listen to my music, and look up correct spelling of words. Using it for spelling sure beats looking it up in the dictionary.

I also use Zoom for my Bible study (my daughter sets me up.) It amazes me, Jack, that you are willing to do all of this help and for free! Wow! Kudos to The Herald for your article. It made my day!
