AquaSox fall to Indians in 10 innings

SPOKANE — Bladimir Restituyo hit a walk-off sacrifice fly in the bottom of the tenth inning and the Spokane Indians beat the Everett AquaSox 9-8 on Wednesday night.

After the Indians scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to take an 8-5 lead, Mike Salvatore hit a three-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to even the game at 8-8.

But the AquaSox couldn’t come up with a clutch hit with runners on in the ninth and tenth innings in the loss.

Juan Mercedes started for the AquaSox and allowed three runs, two earned, on four hits in five innings. Mercedes struck out six and walked one.

Salvatore finished the game 2-for-4 with four RBI, James Parker went 1-for-4 with two runs batted in and Alberto Rodriguez had two hits and an RBI for Everett (31-33).

Julio Carreras went 2-for-4 with three runs scored abd five RBI for Spokane (33-30).
