Two killed in fatal collision Friday in Everett

EVERETT — Two people died in a multiple-vehicle collision that resulted in an extended road closure on 19th Avenue Southeast between 100th and 102nd Street Southeast Friday in South Everett.
Around 11:30 a.m., Everett police and fire crews responded to a fatal collision where one vehicle with three occupants was traveling southbound on 19th Avenue Southeast when it entered the northbound lane and struck another car head-on, according to Everett Police Department spokesperson Natalie Given.
The collision caused the vehicles to hit other vehicles on the road, resulting in four total cars involved in the collision, Given said. The first vehicle flipped and hit a pole.
First responders pronounced two of the passengers in the first vehicle, a male and a female in their late 80s, deceased at the scene, and transported the third passenger to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett for undisclosed injuries. Additionally, first responders transported a female in her 20s from the car that was struck initially to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett for undisclosed injuries, Given said.
Everett police are investigating the collision.
The roadway reopened around 4:15 p.m. Friday.
