Events are planned to introduce families to Girl Scouting.
Attend a registration meeting with your daughter. Troops will be formed at the sessions.
Meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Bethesda Lutheran Church, 23406 56th Ave. W. in Mountlake Terrace or at 10 a.m. Oct. 2 at Edmonds Lutheran Church, 23525 84th Ave. W. in Edmonds.

Senior anniversary: Mill Creek Senior Centers First Year Anniversary Celebration is planned from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at 15720 Main St. in Mill Creek.
Free food and entertainment are planned.

Philharmonic firsts: The new Everett Philharmonic, conducted by Paul-Elliott Cobbs, is holding its first concert to open its inaugural season at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Everett Civic Auditorium, 2415 Colby Ave.
There will be a chat by Cobbs at 6 p.m.
Selections include Rachmaninoffs “Second Piano Concerto” and Stravinskys “Firebird Suite.”

Friends meet in Monroe: The next meeting of the Friends of the Monroe Library is planned for 7 p.m. Tuesday at the library located at 1070 Village Way.
Guests and new members are welcome. This organization help raise funds for library programs for children, teens and adults.
