Kent Simpson summoned by Hockey Canada

Everett’s Kent Simpson was one of four goaltenders invited to attend Hockey Canada’s summer tryouts for the U-18 team that will compete in the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament, which will be held in Slovakia on Aug. 11-15.

The 17-year-old Simpson was a rookie last season, serving as Everett’s backup. He distinguished himself at the international level when he backstopped Team Pacific to the silver medal at the U-17 World Hockey Challenge in January.
