This week, Boeing clawed its way to a net zero orders for the year after falling back into the negative a few weeks ago.
The airline industry has been hit hard by the global recession, focusing more on deferring existing jet orders than placing new ones.
The company won an order from Aerolineas Argentinas for one 737 and and an order for one 777 from an unidentified customer. Boeing also lost an order for a 737 this week, according to an update on its Web site.
For the year, Boeing has received 60 new orders and 60 order cancellations. Most of the cancellations, 57, are for Boeing’s 787.
