Food-borne assistance?

Here’s something interesting. The Spokane Chiefs have postponed their final two games because the team was stricken by food poisoning.

So how does this affect the Tips? Well, Spokane’s final game is against Tri-City, Everett’s first-round opponent in the playoffs. That game was originally scheduled for Sunday. Now it will be played Tuesday. That means two fewer days of rest and two fewer days of preparation for the Americans, though I doubt they’re going to commit a lot of resources toward that Spokane game now.

And I suspect it’s going to give me a very small window to conduct interviews with the Americans for my playoff preview stories.
