MONROE — Three people, including two teenagers, were arrested early Thursday after police discovered around $5,000 damage at Sky River Park in Monroe.

Police were called to the park about 1:50 a.m. after a resident reported hearing people and loud noises, Monroe police spokeswoman Debbie Willis said.

The playground slide, trash cans, a bench, landscaping and bathroom windows were among the items vandalized, Willis said.

“It’s just senseless,” she said.

Officers arrested three people, a man, 20, and two boys, 16 and 17, all from Monroe. The man was booked into the Snohomish County Jail and the teens were taken to the Denney Juvenile Justice Center for investigation of second-degree malicious mischief, Willis said. Police still are looking for a fourth suspect.

Anyone with information is asked to call Monroe police at 360-794-6300.
