Arlington woman killed on motorcycle near Mount Vernon

Shanna Faulds, 37, of Arlington died after her motorcycle collided with a van on Highway 536 near Mount Vernon on Saturday, according to the State Patrol.

Faulds was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle after the 6:50 p.m. accident and later died, according to a State Patrol memo.

Faulds, traveling westbound, swerved into the eastbound lane of the Highway near Bradshaw Road, about four miles west of downtown Mount Vernon, and collided with the van, according to the memo.

Faulds was ejected from her motorcycle. The van driver, a 45-year-old Anacortes woman, suffered minor injuries and was not hospitalized.
