50 years ago (1958)

Mr. and Mrs. Moe Silverstone were leaving in the morning for a trip to Europe and Israel. Their itinerary in Europe included England, France, Switzerland, Holland and the World’s Fair in Brussels, Belgium.

25 years ago (1983)

The Herald was reinstituting its weekly Friday garden page beginning this week and continuing through the gardening season. The home-and-garden editor was Wanda Adams.
