Boeing engineers name three new leaders

The union representing Boeing Co. engineers has elected three new members to its board, following months of managment turmoil.
The election comes less than a month after members of the Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace voted to recall four members of their executive board. The four board members had ousted SPEEA’s executive director in July.
The board remains one member short. However, with its new board members in place, the group will move forward with hiring a new executive director, possibly by the end of the year.
The leadership shake-up comes as SPEEA gears up to begin contract talks with the Boeing Co. in 2008.
The three new executive board members include Walt Dilefsen, Sharon Moats and Larry Marrell. Learn more about the board members, who each assume the position of Northwest vice president, at the union’s Web site.
