Everett: Artists sell crafts for a cause

Positively Panache, a two-day fundraiser for Positive Women’s Network, is scheduled to take place Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 at the Women’s Wellness Center, 2817 Rockefeller Ave.

The event will include handmade creations by local artists. Proceeds from the specialty craft show will benefit the nonprofit women’s health organization.

The event will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. Nov. 30 and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 1.

Lake Stevens: Sewer district open house

To celebrate its 50th year of serving the area, the Lake Stevens Sewer District is hosting an open house from 5 to 6:30 p.m. today.

The event takes place at district headquarters, 1106 Vernon Road.

Information about the district’s planned new sewage treatment plant will be available, along with other facts about the district and how it has grown.

Light appetizers will be served.

Mukilteo: Library hosts book group

Readers are invited to this month’s meeting of the evening book group planned for the Mukilteo Library.

The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. Nov. 28 at the library, 4675 Harbour Pointe Blvd.

This group’s featured book for this month is “Eat, Pray, Love: One Woman’s Search for Everything Across Italy, India and Indonesia,” by Elizabeth Gilbert.

Snohomish: Book author visits library

In celebration of the annual Children’s Book Festival, the Snohomish Library is set to host an author visit at 11 a.m. Saturday.

Join David PatĀ­neaude, a local author of nine books for young people, for his scheduled talk about his experiences as an author. His books will be available for purchase and signing.

Patneaude is a three-time nominee for the Missouri Mark Twain Award for “Deadly Drive,” “Thin Wood Walls” and “Framed in Fire.”
