Here’s a roundup of some of the more interesting recent neighborhood crime news from throughout Snohomish and Island counties, provided by police:

Stanwood

* 9600 block of 269th Place NW. On Oct. 26, a 57-year-old man died outside a medical facility after experiencing chest pain. A medical examiner officer came to the location to investigate.

* 9500 block of 271st Street NW. On Oct. 27, a 23-year-old Stanwood man locked his girlfriend in a room and refused to let her leave. He was arrested for investigation of unlawful imprisonment and booked into jail.

* 68th Avenue NW. On Oct. 29, a rock was thrown through the window of a parked car. A purse was stolen from the car.
