Levy money keeps staffing in place

Fire District 7 is asking voters to renew the annual fire levy of $1.50 per $1,000 of assessed valuation, approved by the voters for the past several years. The levy request will appear on the Sept. 14 ballot. This is the primary funding the fire district receives for the operation of the district. Since the passage of Initiative 747 in 2001, the fire district must present this measure for the voters’ approval. This measure requires a simple majority approval of the voters for passage. Approval of this proposition will continue the funding necessary to maintain the present staffing plan, currently in place. I urge you to support this levy.
