Bill 5353 is big news for Washington craft distilleries

Herald writer Dan Catchpole wrote Friday about Senate Bill 5353, which “removes several constraints on consumer interaction for craft distilleries.”

Catchpole writes that the act goes into effect Friday, but won’t be implemented until December. Once it is implemented it means that distilleries will be able to serve mixed drinks and host private events, as well as a number of other things.

This is big news for local craft distilleries, and puts them closer to becoming like the many craft breweries in the state.
