Community Transit honored Jason Stolberg, of Everett, as its Curb the Congestion Champion for the fourth quarter of 2016.
Stolberg works from home or commutes to his job in Seattle by bus or train, saving more than $3,500 in commuting expenses in the last year. The transit agency said those commute alternatives also helped prevent 9,895 pounds of carbon dioxide emissions.
“Even if there was no reward program, I would still do my alternate commuting regardless,” Stolberg said. “But it is wonderful this program exists to recognize those who are doing their part.”
