World religions: Are world religions a mass of confusion or a world of opportunity? Philosopher and religion scholar David Smith compares and contrasts the central beliefs of the four largest religions in a “Comparative Religions” series at Lynnwood Library, 19200 44th Ave. W. Fundraiser: Cornerstone Ministry Group holds a fundraiser, 5-8 p.m. March 25 at the Snohomish Eagles, 606 Maple Ave., Snohomish. Jonathan and the Band of Dry Bones will perform. Crab feed: A Crab Feed auction and dinner fundraiser for the Archbishop Murphy High School fine arts programs is set for 6-8 p.m. March 25 in the cafeteria on the campus at 12911 39th Ave. SE, Everett. Concert: Choral Arts Northwest perform a Seattle composer’s work, 8 p.m. March 25 at First Presbyterian Church, 2936 Rockefeller Ave., Everett. “But Who Shall Return Us Our Children: A Kipling Passion” is based on the historical account of Lt. John Kipling’s 1918 death at the Battle of Loos and its impact on his famous parents, Rudyard and Carrie Kipling. Tickets are $28, $24 for seniors and military, free to students. Film series: First Presbyterian Church’s current Reel World Cinema Series takes up a science-faith dialogue theme. The March 31 film is “Particle Fever” (2013). Prayer Breakfast: The annual Good Friday Prayer Breakfast sponsored by the YMCA of Snohomish County is set for April 14 at the Edward D. Hansen Conference Center at Xfinity Arena, 2000 Hewitt Ave., Everett. The nondenominational event gives thanks and seeks guidance for the year. It is not a fundraiser. Tickets are $40.
