Safe Kids Snohomish County, led by Providence Health &Services NW Washington, has received a grant for 75 free car seats to be given to Snohomish County families. Nationally, an estimated four out of five car seats aren’t installed or used correctly. Instructions are available online at www.safercar.gov. Providence also hosts a free class to the community on the first Saturday of each month. Register at www.providence.org/nw-safekids.
Help Mukilteo parks: EarthCorps and Mukilteo are working to restore Japanese Gulch through the Mukilteo Park Steward Program. Volunteer park stewards help clear invasive plants, run restoration events, maintain trails, educate the community and more. Stormwater meeting: Anyone interested in learning more about reducing stormwater pollution is welcome to attend an open house Snohomish County has planned for Thursday. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions about stormwater management and influence priorities for 2018.
