SHORELINE — Ruby Mensing’s 16 kills and two aces as Glacier Peak defeated Shorewood 25-17, 25-13, 25-22 in a Wesco 3A volleyball match Wednesday night.

Taylor Rasmussen (10 digs) and Amanda Burgess (26 assists) also enjoyed strong performances for the Grizzlies.

“Glacier Peak played a very consistent match,” Shorewood head coach Jennifer Chartrand. “Ruby (Mensing) was hitting down the line and we could not shift over there to pick up those balls.

“We played well, but didn’t pass consistently enough to play our offense.”

Molly Whipple had six kills and three blocks, and Marianne Kellogg contributed 16 assists for Shorewood (4-4 in league, 5-5 overall). With the victory, Glacier Peak moved to 6-2, 7-4.
