Camano wildlife program
Learn about “Birds and Their Nests” with birder Joe Meche, author of “Beaks and Bills,” at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Camano Multipurpose Center, 141 N East Camano Drive, Camano Island.
Meche will share designs for predator-proof nest boxes for common Camano Island cavity-nesting birds.

Watch “First Flight” of hummingbird

Religion series
A three-part series on “The Philosophy of Religion” continues with “Interpretations of Religious Diversity,” 7 p.m. Thursday at the Lynnwood Library, 19200 44th Ave. W. The series concludes with “Conversions and Deconversion” March 29.
The program is led by David E. Smith, of Edmonds, who teaches religion and philosophy, principally through the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of Washington.

A look at veterans’ mental health
Sno-Isle Libraries’ “Issues that Matter” series continues with a focus on “Veterans and Mental Health,” 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Mill Creek City Council Chambers, 15728 Main St.
Panelists include Chuck Wright, veteran and traumatic stress specialist; therapist Laurie Aker; and Sam Powers, veteran and director of Student Veteran life at the University of Washington.

Help with chores, errands
Volunteer Services, a program of Catholic Community Services, seeks volunteers to assist with household chores, yard care, transportation and other tasks that enable elders, veterans and adults with disabilities to remain independent in their own homes. Volunteers typically serve two to eight hours per month.
