Everett’s The Independent Beer Bar turns 2

Everett’s The Independent Beer Bar is celebrating its two-year anniversary on March 1 with a party that features an entire tap lineup of Snohomish County beers, including one they had a hand in making.
“The Snohomish county beer scene has evolved greatly in the past two years and we’re thrilled to be a small part of it,” said Jeff Sadighi, co-owner of The Independent Beer Bar.
The two year anniversary party will begin at 4 p.m. and last until midnight. The Independent Beer Bar will have beer on tap from local breweries 5 Rights, At Large, Crucible, Diamond Knot, Lake Stevens, Lazy Boy, Lost Canoe, Middleton, Scrappy Punk, Scuttlebutt, Skookum, and Sound to Summit brewing companies.
The Independent owners Sadighi and Doug Hall worked with 5 Rights Brewing to brew up an IPA just for the occasion. Sadighi and Hall visited Marysville’s 5 Rights and helped brew what they’re calling “Our Fault” IPA, a big dry West Coast-style IPA with lots of tropical and citrus notes and a dank backbone and will only be available at the Independent.
“Gotta say the boys did a great job building this beer, so come on out and try it along with lots of other tasty beers from our fellow SnoCo brewers,” wrote 5 Rights Brewing’s R.J. Whitlow on Facebook.
The Independent Beer Bar now serves Russian dumplings in-house. Bringing in food from neighboring restaurants is also encouraged. The bar has a patio and shuffleboard, and hosts trivia the last Wednesday of every month. It’s also dog friendly.
The Independent Beer Bar is located at 1801 Hewitt Ave. in downtown Everett, on the corner of Hewitt and Rockefeller Avenues.
