Lakewood High open house March 10
The Lakewood School District is hosting an open house and ribbon cutting for the new Lakewood High School,17023 11th Ave NE, on Saturday. The event goes from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with the ribbon cutting around 10:30 a.m. The Lakewood High School jazz band and jazz choir will perform. Students and staff will be at the school to answer questions during visitors’ self-guided tours. A time-lapse video of the school’s construction will be shown as well.

Voices of Victims lunch
Join Victim Support Services on March 28 for the Voices of Victims luncheon at Angel of the Winds Arena. The event highlights the organization’s work for crime victims in Washington. Keynote speaker Capt. Christopher Vanghele of the Newtown Police Department in Connecticut responded to the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School, as one of the first on the scene. While the event is free, registration is required by March 20.

Help for mental health
The Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance of Snohomish County offers peer support groups, which typically meet 7-8:30 p.m. second and fourth Mondays in Everett.

Comfort following a death
Family Support Centers offers a drop-in grief group, 3-4 p.m. Mondays at the Arlington Community Resource Center, located at the Stillaguamish Senior Center, 18308 Smokey Point Blvd., Arlington.

A Survivors of Suicide Loss support group meets 6-8 p.m. fourth Thursdays at the Stanwood Library, 9701 271st St. NW. The group is for those grieving and surviving suicide loss.

Help for MS
Self-help groups for those living with multiple sclerosis are available in Snohomish County. The MS Sno-Flakes meets 1-2:30 p.m. fourth Thursdays at Edmonds United Methodist Church, 828 Caspers St. The group is for people with multiple sclerosis and their family, caregivers and friends.

A Marysville-based MS self-help group meets 10:30 a.m. to noon second Saturdays at Cascade Christian Reformed Church, 13908 51st Ave. NE. There is no meeting in April, due to participating in Snohomish County WALK MS event.
