EVERETT — Two motorcycle riders suffered serious injuries in a crash east of Everett, the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office announced Thursday.

The single motorbike crashed around 4 p.m. Wednesday near 56th Avenue SE and Lowell-Larimer Road. No other vehicles were involved, according to the sheriff’s office.

A man, 35, was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for life-threatening injuries. A woman, 37, was seriously hurt. She was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.

The road was closed for an investigation. It appeared the motorcycle had been going at a high speed before the crash, according to the sheriff’s office.
