Skagit Beer Week: The second annual Skagit Valley Malting Showcase is April 7 at Farmstrong Brewing and features beers brewed with local malts from 10 Washington breweries, including Snohomish’s Spada Farmhouse Brewery. For more information, visit skagitfarmtopint.com.
Timber Monster Brewing grand opening: This new brewery started by Mike and Brandi Varnell plans its grand opening April 6-8 at the brewery, 410 Main St., Sultan. They will have four of their beers on tap, including a coffee oatmeal stout and IPA.
Spring Beer Release at Middleton: Everett’s Middleton Brewing’s annual spring beer release will be noon to 10 p.m. April 7 at the brewery, 607 SE Everett Mall Way, Suite 27A, Everett.
Fremont Brewing tasting: Stanwood’s Ale Spike Taproom is hosting Seattle’s Fremont Brewing for a tasting from 5 to 8 p.m. April 10 at the bottleshop, 9300 271st St. NW, Suite B5, Stanwood.
Sumerian Brewing tasting: Kenmore’s 192 Brewing is hosting Woodinville’s Sumerian Brewing for a tasting at 6 p.m. April 10 at the brewery, 7324 NE 175th St., Suite F, Kenmore.
Farmstrong Brewing tasting: Lynnwood’s Special Brews is hosting Mount Vernon’s Farmstrong Brewing for a tasting at 6 p.m. April 18 at the bottleshop, 14608 Highway 99, Suite 307, Lynnwood.
Josh’s Taps & Caps turns 2: The Snohomish taproom and bottleshop is celebrating its second anniversary from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. April 21 at the taproom, 1800 Bickford Ave., Suite 210, Snohomish. There will be a food truck, photo booth and giveaways.
Chuckanut Brewing tasting: Lynnwood’s Special Brews is hosting Bellingham’s Chuckanut Brewing for a tasting at 6 p.m. April 25 at the bottleshop, 14608 Highway 99, Suite 307, Lynnwood.
At Large Brewing tasting: Monroe’s Harry’s on Tye is hosting Everett’s At Large Brewing for a tasting at 5 p.m. April 27 at the taproom, 14286 169th Drive SE, Monroe.
Snohomish on the Rocks: The largest distillery festival in Snohomish County will have two sessions from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. April 28 at Thomas Family Farms, 9010 Marsh Road, Snohomish. There will be more than 30 local distilleries, food and live music. Tickets are $40 per session and VIP tickets are $60 and can be purchased at snohomishontherocks.com.
April Brews Day: More than 70 local breweries, including Marysville’s Whitewall Brewing, will descend on Bellingham for the 17th annual April Brews Day from 6:30 to 10 p.m. April 28 at Depot Market Square, 1100 Railroad Ave., Bellingham. Bothell Block Party and Brewfest: The Greater Bothell Chamber of Commerce and UW Bothell team up to put on this annual brewfest from 3 to 8 p.m. May 19 in downtown Bothell. Eighteen breweries will be pouring beers, including six Bothell breweries, and a cidery. Advance tickets are $25 or $30 at the door. Live music and food trucks also are planned.
