HEADS UP

U.S. 2 trestle scheduled to close

The westbound U.S. 2 trestle is scheduled to close this weekend, from 7 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Monday for repaving. Wet weather could delay the work, as it did the first scheduled time in May.

Other tentative closure dates: June 22-25, June 29-July 2, July 13-16, July 20-23 and, now, Aug. 4-6 to make up for May’s missed work.

For this weekend’s detour, 20th Street SE will be reversed to carry westbound traffic only. It will return drivers to westbound U.S. 2 just before the I-5 interchange.

Keep track of closures at tinyurl.com/WSDOTWork.
