85-year-old hospitalized after US 2 crash near Monroe

MONROE — One man was taken to the hospital after a crash on U.S. 2 Wednesday morning.

His Jeep rolled off the road around 10:30 a.m. The 85-year-old had to be removed from the vehicle. It was not immediately clear how severe his injuries were, or which hospital he was taken to.

The westbound lane near 179th Street SE was blocked as of 11:30 a.m. Traffic was moving through a turn lane.

An accident investigation is under way.
