Butterflies in the garden presentation

Learn about butterflies, including local species, at “Butterflies in the Garden (and Beyond),” 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Island County Multipurpose Center, 141 N East Camano Drive, Camano Island. The Camano Wildlife Habitat Project, sponsored by Friends of Camano Island Parks, hosts public presentations the third Wednesday of the month.

Memorial for ‘Sister B’

St. Mary of the Valley Parish invites the public to a dedication of a memorial to Sister Barbara Geib, 1 p.m. Sunday at St. Mary of the Valley Catholic Church, 601 W. Columbia St., Monroe. The memorial honors Geib’s 41 years of service to the community and parish. “Sister B” died Feb. 4; she was 85.

Stained glass tour

A stained glass window tour will be held 6-8 p.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church of Everett, 2936 Rockefeller Ave., as part of the Everett Art Walk.

Watch a dam movie about beavers

Watch the IMAX movie “Beavers” and learn more about the animal’s habits, habitat requirements and see a dam on North Creek, 7 p.m. Thursday at the Northwest Stream Center in McCollum Park, 600 128th St. SE, Everett. Come early, at 6, to take a nature walk through the forest and see a trout stream exhibit. Cost is $5 Adopt A Stream Foundation members, $7 nonmembers. Reservations required.

The Kind Fest returns

The Kind Fest will be held 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Willis Tucker Park, 6705 Puget Park Drive, Snohomish. Live music, speakers, nonprofit booths, an artist marketplace, kids activities and food trucks. The event is free, but donations are appreciated.

Sustainamania returns to Bothell

The free Sustainamania family festival returns to Bothell, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday around Bothell City Hall, 18415 101st Ave. NE. Kids can touch a truck, spin wheels at the bike rodeo and enjoy other activities. There will be food trucks, Horse Creek tours and lots of vendors with information on living with a low impact on the environment.

Free parking is available in a parking garage, and free bags of compost will be handed out while supplies last.

Ostomy support group

The United Ostomy Associations of America, Snohomish County Chapter, holds its annual potluck picnic from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday at Hill Park, 1610 Park Ave., Snohomish. The support group’s regular meetings are held 1 to 3 p.m. second Mondays (except July and August) at the Buzz Inn restaurant, 3121 Broadway, Everett. The group’s purpose is to help people with ostomies.
