I-976 debate moderators assess Thursday’s showdown in Everett

In this week’s “Herald Headlines,” Jerry Cornfield, the Herald’s political reporter, and opinion editor Jon Bauer assess Thursday night’s debate of Initiative 976. They moderated a forum that featured I-976 sponsor Tim Eyman and two opponents — Everett Mayor Cassie Franklin and state Sen. Steve Hobbs of Lake Stevens, who is the Senate Transportation Committee chairman.
