Body found in impounded car in Lake Stevens

LAKE STEVENS — Police were investigating this week after a body was found in an impounded car in Lake Stevens.

On June 13, Bothell police impounded a car to a local tow company. The vehicle was auctioned off to a Lake Stevens business, which found the body Aug. 5, Lake Stevens police Chief Jeff Beazizo said.

The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause and manner of death, Beazizo said.

He added it was not being investigated as a crime.
