Cynthia Orr, a success coach and mental health counselor, will be the featured speaker at the annual Business Women’s Networking Breakfast from 7 to 9:30 a.m. Oct. 25 at the Howard Johnson Plaza Hotel, 3105 Pine St., Everett. The event, which will also feature a trade and job fair, is sponsored by Pathways for Women YWCA and the Greater Port Gardner Bay Business &Professional Women. The Everett office of the state Department of Revenue plans a free outreach workshop from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Oct. 10 at the Everett Public Library, 2702 Hoyt Ave. Staff members will hand out a free workbook and explain the state’s excise tax system and answer questions about how businesses can collect and report the taxes. The Northwest Human Resources Management Association is offering a seminar on employment law from 8 a.m. until noon Oct. 11 at the Holiday Inn at 128th Street and I-5 in south Everett.
