UPDATED:

Well, it’s certainly not the same rowdy, talkative atmosphere here at the Machinists’ hall in Seattle. Results from the vote should be announced soon. Walking by the stacks of ballots, I see a lot more “accept” votes than I see “reject” votes.

_______________

Boeing Machinists have less than an hour to cast their ballots whether to accept or reject the company’s latest contract offer.

But unscientific polls show it’s likely to be a close vote.

The Herald’s reader poll had 53 percent of voters accepting the new contract and ending the strike. Machinist Don Grinde has a poll on his blog that has 51 percent of respondents rejecting the offer.

Stay tuned …
