Vanishing jobs show no sign they’ll reappear

Friday is the last day, and the first of more to come.

It’s the day some 7,000 people will walk out of Boeing Co. factories and offices in Everett, Renton and Auburn, the first of up to 30,000 who will be laid off nationwide by next summer. About 2,500 of the first wave will come from the Everett plant.
